AFE Airman receives Hard Charger award

Tech. Sgt. Eduard Van Thiel, second from left, 339th Flight Test Squadron aircrew flight equipment technician, receives an Air Force Reserve Command Hard Charger award from Senior Master Sgt. James Hartzog, left, Total Force Top 3 (TFT3) Hard Charger program coordinator, Jan. 25, 2019, at Robins Air Force Base, Ga. Van Thiel earned the award for his short-notice development and delivery of life-saving equipment to a depot test site at Lake Charles, La. During his efforts, Van Thiel worked closely with local and state authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Senior Master Sgt. Penny Ricketts, right, TFT3 vice president, and Senior Master Sgt. Teresa Lapcheske, TFT3 secretary, also attended the presentation.
